This was a difficult site requiring extensive layout on several levels. Much of the foundation had to be directly attached to the rock outcropping that topped this steep lot that fell away to the west. Views into Puget Sound were spectacular -- it was a great summertime project.
Excess rock was blasted away to create a more-or-less level area on which to build the house. Power drilling was necessary to set reinforcing steel directly into the rock
Extensive scaffolding was necessary to support the tube forms for the columns that support the deck over the cliff face. Concrete was carefully placed by pump rig in this difficult to access site..
